Dennis Gale Snow ROCK FALLS – Dennis G. Snow, 65, of Rock Falls, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at his home with his wife Teresa by his side . He was born on April 10, 1946 in Sterling, Illinois to Eugene Victor Snow and Helen (Wagenknecht) Snow. Dennis attended school in Sterling, where he played the coronet for the grade school band and sang in the Robed Choir at Sterling Township High School. Dennis also spent a number of years in his youth studying the bible at Sterling Mennonite Church. In his high school years he enjoyed pole vaulting, weight lifting, basketball and golf. He graduated from Sterling Township High school in 1964. He married Teresa Hayes on May 18, 1968, in Rock Falls. On September 13, 1978, Denny and Teresa had their only child David. He was employed as a produce manager at Kroger in Sterling for 35 years. Dennis favorite pastime as an adult was golf, were he established many lifelong friendships. Dennis had numerous interest including astronomy, science, rock collecting, drafting and architecture, poker, golf and spectator sports. He was an avid Bears and Cubs fan. Dennis was a family man whose favorite moments included enjoying music, playing cards, lottery and shooting pool. Dennis is survived by his wife, Teresa, son David (Meagan), brother Jack (Sandy), sister Cheryl Hollenberg (Norman) and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Eugene Victor Snow, mother Helen (Wagenknecht) Snow, and brother Wayne Snow.
